Whiskey Myers guitarist John Jeffers says the band had a clear vision for how they wanted to perform for arena crowds in 2024. “We wanted to bring along production that matched the rooms that size,” he says. “This view of our new stage from the catwalk was wild to see, especially knowing all of those seats were going to be full of our fans.”
Lead singer Cody Cannon and the band kicked off this year’s arena tour with a 21-song opening-night set at Brookshire Grocery Arena in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Whiskey Myers continued their tour with a Night 2 gig in Biloxi, Mississippi — and alerted fans in other markets that the tour is close to selling out.
For this tour, Whiskey Myers commissioned a trio of video walls that hang 20 feet overhead and project almost 1000 square feet of visuals created by real people in real time — just as the band sings live with no track each night.
Production manager Howard Hopkins plays a key role with the newly upgraded gear, leading the crew that builds the video walls each night.

“To go from playing dive bars where we grew up in East Texas to rolling four Peterbilt trucks onto the dirt at RodeoHouston… we never dreamed this would happen,” Cannon says. The RodeoHouston headlining performance was the ideal way to wrap up opening weekend.

The band partnered with High Limit Racing to bring “Whiskey Myers Victory Lane” to the dirt track series this year. Sprint car driver Rico Abreu hung out backstage at NRG Stadium, the site of RodeoHouston.
