Around the world, where a child lives is the most powerful predictor of whether they will survive cancer. In resource-limited countries, survival rates for pediatric cancer are below 30%. To change this reality, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital launched the Global Platform for Access to Childhood Cancer Medicines alongside the World Health Organization and in collaboration with UNICEF and the PAHO Strategic Fund. Working with governments, private sector partners, academic institutions, NGOs and other stakeholders across six pilot countries, the Platform builds a sustainable system for delivering childhood cancer medicines. This unprecedented collaboration represents the largest effort to date to improve access to life-saving medicines and reduce global disparities for childhood cancer survival. Together, we’re proving that access to life-saving care is possible—everywhere.
At St. Jude, our patients come from all walks of life and each has an inspiring story to tell. Because of you, more kids can continue to tell their stories and imagine their own future as a childhood cancer survivor. Discover some of our St. Jude survivor stories.
